The 'substance sniffing cop' of film Raman Raghav 2.0 played by new and very talented actor Vicky Kaushal who with his acting skills impressed everyone in town also. It was rumours too that Sanjay Leela Bhansali approached him to play lead opposite Deepika in 'Padmavati' but Deepika showed her disinterest to work with him.

Now Vicky has bagged Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt to play Sanjay's best friend on screen.

According to reports, "Vicky has been signed up to play Sanjay Dutt’s (played by Ranbir Kapoor) best friend who stands by him through the thick and thin of his life. In addition to that, Vicky Kaushal has already met Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor as a part of his role’s preparations."
