Kolkata: The case of beating Sikh security personnel in West Bengal continues to be in constant discussions. Balwinder Singh, a Sikh security personnel who was deployed in the security of the BJP leader, had pulled off his turban while being beaten by the police. Several Sikh leaders, including former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, have expressed opposition to CM Mamata Banerjee.

Balwinder Singh's wife Karamjit Kaur, speaking to a private news channel, has expressed her desire to meet the state's CM Mamata Banerjee. She has said that Mamata Didi should show us her motherly affection and bring us justice. Earlier, Balwinder Singh's family had met West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday. After which the governor had given advice to CM Mamata Banerjee and asked her to rectify her mistake. Dhankhar said it was time to heal wounds instead of justifying the incident.

In a tweet, the governor said, "Along with Manjinder Singh Sirsa delegation, Balwinder Singh's wife Karamjit Kaur and son Harshveer met me. It was a difficult moment for me to face his wife and son who were trying to judge. I appeal to Mamata Banerjee to correct the injustice that has been done."
