An exhibition match of eight players was held at the base tennis academy in the small town of Hohrgrenzayusen near Koblenz. There was no audience present, there were no 'ball boy or girl', no line judge but just a chair umpire. There was a ban on shaking hands during the match, the players handled their towels on their own and brought their fruit and water bottles to the clay court itself.
