On Wednesday, September 15, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda's Liger shared an update, which surprised fans. Charmme Kaur, one of the co-producers, took to Twitter to post a photo of Vijay Deverakonda from the set of Liger. The actor from Geetha Govindam has resumed filming for the Puri Jagannadh movie.

Vijay Deverakonda, who had enlisted Indian Idol 12 finalist Shanmukha Priya to sing for Liger, has resumed filming. Charmme Kaur took to Twitter on September 15 to share a photo of Vijay sitting inside a boxing ring with his back to the camera. The co-producer also announced that the actors and crew had begun filming.

Sharing a picture of Vijay, Charmme wrote, “BLOOD SWEAT VIOLENCE begins today .. #shootmode #beastmode #LIGER #salaacrossbreed.”

Liger is a sports drama directed by Puri Jagannadh that stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in major roles. The film was scheduled to hit theatres on September 9. However, due to the uncertainty surrounding the reopening of the theatres, the producers opted to postpone the picture. Vijay Deverakonda recently took to Twitter to refute Liger's Rs 200 crore OTT contract rumours, claiming that it rumour and that he will do more in theaters. Vijay will undergo physical change to play a fighter role in Liger. Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar, and Puri Jagannadh will co-produce the film.
