Commonwealth Games gold medalist Vikas Krishna (69 weight category) entered the quarterfinals of the Asian Olympic qualifiers on Friday, March 6, 2020. He defeated Nooru Sultan Mamateli of Kyrgyzstan 5–0.

In the quarterfinal, Vikas will now face Asian silver medalist Sevenorets Okazawa of Japan. Okazawa, who won a gold medal in the Olympic Test Event last year, defeated Taiwan's Pen Hung-Ming.
