Director Ajay Gnanmuthu said on Tuesday that his much-awaited action entertainment 'Cobra,' starring 'Chiyaan' Vikam, has been completed. The director made the announcement on Twitter.

He wrote: "It's a wrap!! Close to three years of filming comes to an end!! My sincere thanks to #ChiyaanVikram sir and my entire team who trusted me, sailed through all the struggles and difficult times with me and believed in the vision of #Cobra !! Forever indebted to each one of you! "

Interestingly, Vikram finished his scenes in the first week of January. The actor was slated to finish his scenes in December of last year. He tested positive for Covid, so he had to isolate himself and get treatment before returning to work on the movie.In the film, Vikram plays a clever mathematician who solves crimes using numbers.

The film, which stars Srinidhi Shetty as the female protagonist, has piqued interest since it would be the acting debut of former cricketer Irfan Pathan, who portrays the film's villain. A R Rahman composed the music for Cobra, which was shot by Harish Kannan.
