It is said that Vinod Mehra's name was associated with Meena Broca, the actress of the film Rita. At that time, both had been in considerable discussion and after that, they got married in the 70s. It is said that shortly after marriage, Vinod had his first heart attack and after that the relationship broke up. Bindia Goswami came into Vinod Mehra's life after splitting from Meena.

It is said that both started living in live in but both could not stay together for long. Rekha came into Vinod's life after Bindia. It is said that both had married secretly but Vinod's mother had banished Rekha. His mother did not treat Rekha well and due to this their relationship also broke up. However, Vinod spent his life alone and then died.
