A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was killed and two Assam Rifles personnel were injured in the attack. In the wake of the violence, the Manipur government has extended the ban on internet till June 10. Internet services have been suspended in the state since May 3.

According to the report, more than 90 people have lost their lives so far in the violence that broke out between two communities in the state on May 3.
