Lucknow: The administration has taken major action in connection with the meeting between Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) MLA Abbas Ansari and his wife Nikhat in the Chitrakoot Jail Superintendent's room in Uttar Pradesh. In this case, Jail Superintendent Ashok Sagar and Jailor Santosh Kumar have been suspended with immediate effect. Along with this, suspension action has also been taken against Deputy Jailor Piyush Pandey and 5 captive guards. 

According to reports, a letter has been written to the government for a departmental inquiry against Jail Superintendent Ashok Sagar. Along with this, DG Jail Anand Kumar has also issued orders for a departmental inquiry against the jailer and deputy jailer. After the report of DIG Jail Prayagraj, it has also been recommended to transfer MLA Abbas Ansari to another jail. On the other hand, Jailor Rajeev Kumar Singh from Unnao has been sent to Chitrakoot by appointing him as the new Jailor of Chitrakoot and Dev Darshan Singh as the new Deputy Jailor. 

As per reports, Nikhat Ansari had arrived at Chitrakoot Jail carrying a mobile and other banned material to meet her husband Abbas Ansari. When a surprise search was conducted, mobiles and other banned material were recovered from them. As per reports, the meeting was taking place in the deputy jailer's room. During this search was done. A case has also been registered in this matter by the jail administration. At the same time, Nikhat Ansari has been arrested and is being interrogated. Orders have also been issued for the negligence of the jail administration.
