The Team India welcomed the rain with its open arms and so did a drought inflicted Cape Town which washed away the 3rd day of play. A much-hyped Freedom Series between South Africa and India saw the visitors stuttering in the opening Test as the Proteas pacers floored the star-studded Indian batting line-up. And as a token of motivation, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag took to his well-known wit to send in a tweet for a humbled Virat Kohli and Co.

Coming out to bat, India were reduced to 28/3, including skipper Virat Kohli himself. A fiery pace display from Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada, Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander rendered the 'flat track bullies' motionless on the crease.

The celebrated known for his demolishing batting tweeted, "Team India just need to do this when play resumes tomorrow."

But, Hardik Pandya, the one man army stroked a brilliant 93, smashing Morkel and Rabada in his own cricket book style. He has been the saviour of India so far, as he sent back Dean Elgar (34) and Aiden Markram (25) besides reducing South Africa's lead to 77. The play will resume on Monday now with 98 overs scheduled for the day.
