Jakarta: If a woman wants to be admitted to the police in Indonesia, this task is not at all easy for her. Here, it is mandatory for women to complete higher education, not marry and be 17.5 to 22 years of age before being admitted to the police. After all these conditions, the women here have to undergo a virginity test. This test, named Finger, is done for girls after rape.

The committee which selects the women here consists of only men and these men only recruit beautiful women in the police. The police force in this country was formed in 1946. Let me tell you that there is no such type of investigation in India whereas in Indonesia women have to undergo this test to be admitted to the police.

Actually the rule here is that a woman who wants to be admitted to the police does not have to get married until admitted. It is banned in many countries by Amnesty International, calling it a virginity test as an abusive and human rights violation test.
