The inaugural T10 Cricket League is set to be hosted in Sharjah Stadium from December 14. This tournament feature many big name of cricket and total number of six team divide into two group.  The four-day extravaganza, which features a number of top names from international cricket including Virender Sehwag, Shahid Afridi and Eoin Morgan, concludes on December 17.

The format is a brainchild of Indian businessman Shaji Ul Mulk, who opines that the success of the event may pave the way for cricket’s entry into Olympics as the T10 format is best-suited to the quadrennial event. The tournament will be 93 countries across the world with famous commentators like Danny Morrison, Dean Jones and Rameez Raja being roped in to broadcast the event.

Though earlier the organisers had decided to use pink ball for the tournament, they changed it to white ball following a suggestion from former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, who had visited Sharjah to inaugurate his cricket academy in November.

To give it an IPL (Indian Premier League) like feel, the organisers have also made special arrangements to distribute T-shirts and flags of the teams among fans. LED bails will also be used in all the matches. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who happens to be the lone Indian cricketer in league, will lead Maratha Arabians, a team that will also feature Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir.

Group A: Bengal Tigers, Punjabi Legends, Kerala Kings

Group B: Maratha Arabians, Pakhtoons, Team Sri Lanka
