According to ancient texts, Lord Vishwakarma was born on the Trayodashi day of the Magh month, which aligns with January or February in the Gregorian calendar. Regarded as the universe's foremost architect, Lord Vishwakarma is venerated on this day by Hindus worldwide. He is credited with the creation of celestial realms such as Indradev's heaven and remarkable structures like Lord Krishna's palace in Dwarka, as well as the golden city of Lanka for Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Additionally, Lord Vishwakarma is believed to have crafted divine weapons including the trident of Mahadev and the Sudarshan Chakra.

The idol of Lord Vishwakarma is placed in temples, accompanied by the lighting of lamps with desi ghee and the offering of flowers.
