If the company does not offer the petrol variant of the Vitara Brezza next month, the company may offer the WagonR EV. However, all the rest are available with 4 meter SUV petrol engines. Therefore, the company can offer a petrol variant of the Vitara Brezza. The petrol variant of Brezza will be powered by a 1.2-liter dual-jet engine from the Baleno. The company also has more powerful engines used in Artiga and Diaz, but the company will use a 1.2-liter engine to keep the price of the SUV in mind. Brezza's Revivals produces a 1.5-liter engine of Ford EcoSport with 123 hp power and 150Nm of torque. The Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that produces 110 hp of power and 170Nm of torque.
On the other hand, Marut is also referring to the 1.3-liter diesel engine in its cars with a new 1.5-liter engine. The 1.3-liter diesel engine is taken from Fiat, while the new 1.5-liter diesel engine is developed by Maruti in-house. This new diesel engine in Brezza could be included by the end of this year. The price of the Brazza petrol variant is likely to be Rs 6.5 lakh. In India, the car will be rivaled by the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra's XUV 300 and Ford EcoSport.
