Chinese smart phone manufacturer, Vivo is planning to broaden its share in Indian share market to 10 percent by the next year. Vivo had a 2-3 percent share in January which is now increased to 5-6 percent by volume and 7 percent by value. “We have set internal target of 10 percent by next year, which may include some share from online sales,” said the company’s Indian Head Kent Cheng.

Also, the company has strategized to get into the online market, till now unlike its other Chinese competition, Vivo was the only smartphone seller to sell offline with 15,000 offline outlets in over 400 cities. But the company with its share increment is planning to go offline.

With increase in the share of the Indian market, the current assembling unit in the Greater Noida will have some relaxation as the company has thought of making another assembling plant in India.
