India's well-known telecom company Reliance Jio had announced that now users will have to pay (IUC) charge for making calls on other networks from Jio's number and for this the company will charge 6 paise per minute. After the announcement of Reliance Jio, there was a discussion that other telecom companies can also discontinue the facility of free calling. But Vodafone-Idea and Airtel have made it clear that it will not discontinue the free calling facility for its subscribers which is no less than a gift for users.

Regarding the interconnect usage charge, Vodafone-Idea has given information from the Twitter account saying that they do not want to put any such burden on their customers after which they have to think for calling.
