New Delhi: Bret Iwan, the talented voice behind Disney's beloved mascot, Mickey Mouse, has expressed his firm belief that artificial intelligence (AI) can never replace the iconic character. With over a decade of experience voicing Mickey Mouse, Iwan stated that AI lacks the ability to capture the heart and soul of the beloved character.

In an interview with AFP, Iwan emphasized, "AI is an incredible technology, but it falls short when it comes to replicating the human touch." He further elaborated, explaining that Mickey Mouse's essence is built upon emotions and genuine human connection—qualities that AI simply cannot replicate.

Regarding performance, Iwan confidently asserted that AI would never match the level of energy and enthusiasm that he and other human voice actors bring to the role of Mickey Mouse.

Iwan's perspective emerges within an ongoing debate surrounding the potential impact of AI on the entertainment industry. He emphasized that there are inherent aspects of the craft that AI simply cannot replicate, particularly in infusing characters with the same level of heart and soul that human actors bring to their performances.
