German automobile manufacturer Foxwagen is recalling more than 5 million trains soon. This is being done due to flaws in the company's carriage of airbags in China. This is a major setback in China for Foxwagen, already trapped in an emission dispute.
Its information was shared by China's High Consumer Authority General Administration of Quality, Inspection, and Quarantine. Accordingly, the joint venture with Foxwagen and Chinese partners FAW and SAIC is going to bring back 48.6 million vehicles with bad airbags.
It will be started from March 2018. The poorly-found airbags were made by Japan's bankrupt company, Takata. Ten days back, 18.2 lakh vehicles were repatriated due to the failure of the fuel pump of Foxwagen and its local partners.
Prior to this, Foxwagon had recalled 6.8 million premium Audi cars due to a poor coolant pump in March. This caused the car's engine fire. According to the Authority, the vehicles which are currently being used were produced between 2005 and 2017.
Of which more than 47 lakhs were constructed in the factories of China. The company has not been able to emerge from the emissions episode so far, and there is another blow to the company like Volkswagen.
