In fact, recently, in a post shared on behalf of the entire family, it is written - 'Wajid Khan died due to cardiac arrest at Surana Sethia Hospital at 12:30 am on 1 June. He was 47 years old. He was struggling with throat infection related disease and was getting his treatment. He underwent kidney transplant last year which was successful. In the post, Dr. Prince Surana has thanked doctors and staff members for taking care of Wajid. Apart from this, the family also thanked all the fans who prayed for Wajid's well being.
The post reads, 'Wajid passed away at the age of 47 due to a cardiac arrest on June 1 at the 00:30 am in Surana Sethi”s hospital here. Wajid had a successful kidney transplant last year and was undergoing treatment for throat infection in the hospital. Dr Prince Surana was like a family and cared for Wajid like a brother with his team of doctors. The entire hospital staff who had been treating Wajid and taking care of him beyond the call of duty and had left no stone unturned for his treatment”.
