The sun’s ultraviolet rays increase production of melanin in the body, which results in sun tanned skin. After getting a sun tan, it is not easy to bring your skin back to a normal state but with patience and care with some simple natural home remedies it can be done.

Yogurt:

Take a cup of plain yogurt, add ½ cup of gram flour, cucumber juice and tomato juice. Apply this mixture on your tanned skin and leave it for 25 to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Aloe Vera:

Apply aloe Vera on your skin before bedtime and wash it off in the morning.

Oats and buttermilk:

In a bowl add around 3 tablespoons of buttermilk and 2 tablespoons of oatmeal. Mix it together to form a paste. Apply this onto your tanned areas and scrub gently. Wash off with warm water.

Sandalwood and coconut:

Take 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder and mix it in coconut water. Leave it for around 15 minutes and rinse.

Lemon juice:

Dip a cotton ball in lemon juice and apply it onto your skin and let it dry or add a tablespoon of sugar (sugar works as an excellent cleansing agent) to lemon juice and apply on your skin. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash off.
