Web series ‘Karanjit Kaur’ is creating a lot of buzzes as it is the biopic of popular adult star ‘Sunny Leone’. This biopic incorporates the different dimensions of Sunny’s Life which are unknown or lesser known to the people.

The difficulty of this web series is increasing continuously. This movie is facing objections from people and religious groups. Currently, it is facing objection from political party Akali Dal as the party has the problem with the use of using Surname ‘kaur’.

Member of Akali Dal, Manjinder Sirsa stated that they have no objection with Sunny’s profession but their objection is just to remove ‘Kaur’ from the name of his biopic as she has dropped ‘Kaur’ from her name then why it is being used now. She further added that if the title of web series is not changed then Akali Dal will protest against it.

Shiromani Gurdwara Pardandhak Committee (SGPC) has also objection regarding the use of ‘Kaur’ in Title of web series. The spoke person of SGPC’s Daljit Singh Bedi said that kaur is a very respectable name given by Sikh gurus and one who does not follow the teachings of Sikh Guru should not use this surname as it could hurt Sikh Religious feeling, therefore, it should not be used in web series of sunny who do not follow teaching of Sikh Guru.
