Kolkata: Politics has now started in the name of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly. Amid reports of Ganguly being removed as board chief, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal has fiercely attacked the BJP. The TMC says the BJP had tried to induct Ganguly into the party several times. The party says that the former Captain of Team India has become a victim of political vendetta.
TMC leader Dr Santanu Sen said, "Amit Shah went to Sourav Ganguly's house a few months ago.'' According to the information, Ganguly was being repeatedly approached to join the BJP. Perhaps he did not agree to join the BJP and he is from Bengal, so he became a victim of political vendetta. The special thing is that Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached the former cricketer's house for dinner some time ago.
Earlier too, the party had accused the BJP of "trying to insult" a former cricketer. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said, "We are not saying anything clearly on this matter. Since the BJP has run this kind of propaganda after the elections, it is the responsibility of the BJP to react to such speculation. The BJP seems to be trying to insult Sourav.''
