Now, for support Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is playing Alauddin Khilji in the film was asked by the media about the ongoing controversy. Ranveer said that he is 200 % with the film and with his  director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Given that it's a very sensitive time, he have been specifically asked not to say anything about the film and whatever official communication with regards to the film needs to be made will reach you through the producers. The trouble for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his magnum opus 'Padmavati' seems to be never-ending but we hope that it should be ended soon.

The film is currently awaiting certification from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). CBFC not passed certification to the movie and now movie have postponed after huge protests against the release of 'Padmavati' by some fringe groups, the date of release was pushed ahead for indefinite time period. Meanwhile, the fringe groups and several political leaders continue to protest against the release of Padmavati. The film is in troubled waters for a supposed romantic scene between Padmavati (based on the legend of Rani Padmini from Chittorgarh) and Mughal Emperor Alauddin Khilji. While Bhansali has repeatedly denied that there is no such scene in the film, the fringe groups refuse to believe the filmmaker. Earlier, it was scheduled to hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
