Team India's wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant's car met with a major accident while returning home from Delhi. His car met with an accident on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.  However, the news of his accident left his fans in disappointment.

After his accident, Rishabh Pant took to social media first time to share a heartfelt note on Monday. He wrote, "I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. Just wanted to let everyone know that my surgery was successful, and I am grateful to be on the road to recovery." He also thanked BCCI, Jay Shah and the government authorities for their support. Rishabh added, "From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to see you all on the field."

On December 30,  Rishabh's car hit the guardrail, following which the car caught fire. The fire was brought under control with great difficulty. Rishabh Pant was seriously injured in the accident. He has then admitted to Saksham Hospital located on Delhi Road.  Rishabh Pant's house is in Roorkee. As per the information when his car reached Narsan town, the car went out of control and overturned, breaking railings and poles. After this his car caught fire.  Rishabh Pant has suffered injuries on his forehead and leg.
