The much awaited ICC World Cup 2019 is all set to start from May 30 at Kennington Oval wherein hosts England play South Africa. It is expected to be a closely-knit mega event due to 6-7 worthy contenders as well as the reintroduction of the round-robin format.  It seems the wait had also got longer for the active cricketers. Indian cricket team's opener Shikhar Dhawan posted a short video from his official Twitter handle on the eve of World Cup's opener with the caption, "It's NOW or never."

In the video, Dhawan  is seen preparing hard for the marquee event with regular drills, running and net sessions.

India will play their first game of the tournament on June 5 versus South Africa at Southampton. As a result, it gives enough time for the swashbuckling left-handed opener to fine tune his skills and return back to form. Dhawan, after a fruitful IPL 2019, saw a dip in form with two disastrous outings in India's warm-up encounters.

Dhawan has a knack of producing the results in ICC events. He was the top run-getter in the 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy (in England and Wales). Further, he was also India's highest run-scorer in the 2015 World Cup. He will like to turn the tides in his favour with another blistering knock versus South Africa.
