Vivek Agnihotri is one of the renowned filmmakers in Bollywood who became famous after his film ‘The Kashmir Files’.  The director was granted Y-category security cover. It involves the deployment of four to five armed commandos in close proximity of the protectee. The filmmaker has also shared a video from his morning walk amid this security.

Freedom of expression, ha.” Vivek added the hashtags ‘Imprisoned in own country’ and ‘Fatwa’.

As soon as it catches the eyes of fan they started trolling him for flaunting the security.  One user wrote, “The price is being paid by the ordinary taxpayers of this country and you are flaunting your security paid by them. There is no security concern for you. And if at all it is, why don’t you hire private security, you aren’t a public representative. Pay for your luxury." Another comment read, “Don’t you show off on my tax money. “This is an unwanted build-up waste of taxpayers money".

On the work front, Vivek's Kashmir Files was made on a budget of ₹15 crore and ended up grossing over ₹350 crore worldwide, largely due to strong word of mouth. The film, directed by Pallavi’s husband  Vivek Agnihotri, dealt with the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley over 30 years ago. The film beat out several big releases like Ranbir Kapoor’s Shams Hera, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj in the box office race. Now he is all set for its part 2 Kashmir Files unreported.
