Khammam city get a special facility to get proper water supply. The project Bhagirath was started under this special provision. Now, transport minister Poovada Ajay Kumar announced that the khammam city will get daily drinking water under mission bhagirath, the project is in the stage of completion and is expected to be completed in a month.
While talking about the project, the minister spoke to the media and said despite the financial limitations, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, MA and UD Minister KT Rama Rao accepted his request for funds and released Rs 61.47 crore for completing the pipeline work. For your information, let us share that it is also informed that after the project was launched, the citizens would be free from the shortage of drinking water they had been facing for a long time. The Minister urged plot owners to use it, stating that the revised LRSGO 135 would provide much relief to the people.
In Nutshell, A number of water connections are being sanctioned under this project, a briefing ajay kumar said, adding that 45,000 new water connections have been sanctioned along with existing connections and taps have been installed at nearly 25,000 houses. After completion of the work, 75,000 households will be supplied with drinking water, but the cash cheque was handed over to L&T Project Manager Hari Prasad by District Collector R V Karnan. Rs 229.50 crore is being spent on mission participation in the city as part of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme.
