While addressing the flood issue, Banerjee wrote to her Telangana counter, "We are very sad to know about the suffering sins of the people of Telangana due to unprecedented floods after the last few days of incessant rains. There was a heavy loss of life in the state. Our heartfelt condolences to the family members of those who lost their lives"
In this crisis, she assured CM KCR that the people of West Bengal would stand up for telangana brothers and sisters. "To mark our solidarity and brotherhood with the people of Telangana, the West Bengal government wants to provide a token amount of Rs 2 crore to the Telangana Chief Minister's Relief Fund," she said. West Bengal is the third state to announce financial assistance to flood-affected Telangana. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E.K. Palaniswami announced Rs 10 crore on Monday for relief and rehabilitation work in Telangana. Delhi Arvind Kejriwal announced a financial assistance of Rs 15 crore on Tuesday. He said that Delhi would stand by Telangana in this hour of natural disaster.
