Bangalore: Controversy is increasing in Karnataka regarding Halal meat. On Sunday, it has been said by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that halal meat should not be forcibly imposed on Hindus. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje and Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa have reacted to this. Shobha Karandlaje has said that Halal meat is eaten by some people and Hindus do not need to eat it.

MP Shobha further said that, 'If people of Muslim society eat Halal meat, then we have no objection to it. But it is not right to force us to eat it. The demand for certificates for Halal meat has increased in recent times. Shobha said that this matter is presently in the court and public opinion should be taken on this issue. At the same time, KS Eshwarappa, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in the Government of Karnataka, also gave a statement on the controversy of Halal meat. He said that halal is a concept created by some people, especially by some parties. Now the people of Karnataka are suffering because of this. If Muslims want to eat Halal meat, then they should eat it. But give freedom to Hindus as to what they want to eat. If the class should not impose on the other what to eat.

Let us tell you that the controversy regarding Halal meat has increased so much that there was violence in Karnataka in the past. On April 1, a halal meat vendor was beaten up by right-wing activists. Later five people were arrested in this case. CM Bommai's statement also came in the matter. He had said that the issue of halal meat has just started. This is a practice which continues. He said that serious objections are being raised against it, so the state government will look into the issue of halal meat.
