Nahan: The outbreak of corona has been increasing for the past several days. As of now, there have been more than 114000 deaths worldwide due to this virus. Not only this, now the Government of India has also extended the lockdown period to fight this virus, and for the complete eradication of Coronavirus, Sirmour became the first district in the state, where one cannot get out of the house without wearing a mask. If someone comes out of the house without wearing a mask, he will be sent back home. A case will be registered against those who do this again and again. District Magistrate Sirmaur Dr. RK Paruthi has issued these orders under Section 144 (1) (2) of Criminal Procedure Code 1973.

Under these orders, every person has to leave the house only in an emergency to avoid infection. Shopkeepers who have been allowed to open shop during the curfew relaxation will make a mark outside their shop to ensure that customers follow at least one meter of social distancing. Shopkeepers will also have to wear masks themselves and arrange for hand washing as per requirement.

People over 60 years of age who are undergoing treatment for diseases like blood pressure, diabetes or cancer, will not be allowed to leave the house. The clergy, priests, managers, clerics of religious places will have to install CCTV cameras. They should have the ability to store data for one month of recording. Social distancing has to be followed even within the homes. The boundaries of the district will remain closed. Only medical emergency and necessary items will be allowed to be brought and transported. Drivers who bring and carry essential goods from other states will have to wear masks and get vehicle sanitization done before entering the district. All social, cultural and religious events in the district will be prohibited. Officers, police personnel on magisterial duty, personnel deployed in compliance with these orders and persons and vehicles engaged in essential services and health services will be exempt.
