New Delhi: The pressure over the South-West Bay of Bengal is moving towards the West-Northwest at a speed of 21 Kmph. Yesterday, at 5.30 pm on 11th November, it was about 12 degrees North and Longitude 81.4 east of Chennai 170 km east-south-east of Chennai and 170 km east of Puducherry. It can cross the north Tamil Nadu coast near Chennai by the evening of November 11. It is raining somewhere and there is a calamity due to snowfall. Tamil Nadu is currently reeling under floods.

Another low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea is expected to develop around November 13. In the next 48 hours, it will move west-northwestwards towards Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The northern coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and adjoining parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh received moderate to maximum rainfall during the last 24 hours. Light to moderate rainfall occurred over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and parts of Kerala. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and the rest of south-central Karnataka and different parts of coastal Odisha received irregular light to moderate rainfall. Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep received light rainfall.

The same is likely to bring moderate to maximum rainfall in north coastal Tamil Nadu and adjoining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rainfall may occur at one or two places in interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, parts of Kerala and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Coastal Odisha, South Telangana, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka may receive light and moderate rainfall. Moderate to strong winds are likely to blow along Andhra and Tamilnadu coast for the next 48 hours. The wind speed can range from 45-55 kmph to 65 kmph.
