The MET department said that a new Western disturbance has become active in the Himalayan region, which may cause a change in the weather. On the last day, light to moderate rainfall has been recorded in the Western Himalayas and many parts of North-West India. The MET department has predicted rain in several states with thunderstorms and strong winds for the next two days including Tuesday.
Due to the active Western disturbance (a storm coming to the Northern regions of the Indian subcontinent, which brings rain and moisture), the weather has suddenly taken off from hilly areas to the plains. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), moderate snowfall and thunderstorms are likely to occur in North-West India on Tuesday as well. The temperature can also be recorded at some degree Celsius due to rain.
IMD has said that moderate snowfall and thunderstorms are likely to occur on Tuesday in the Western Himalayan region (Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand). With this, a hailstorm has also been expressed in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till Wednesday. Rain and hailstorm are feared in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, and eastern Rajasthan till Tuesday. After the Western disturbance on March 24, the temperature in North-West India is also expected to rise at a speed.
