New Delhi: Heavy rain is lashing many parts of the country these days. Several parts of the country are reeling under severe flood. The Met Department has warned several states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal due to heavy rain in the next 24 hours. Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim are likely to be hit by storms. The Met department has issued an alert saying that low-pressure area is continuing in central Madhya Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan.

Heavy to very heavy rain is expected to occur here. Skymet, a private weather agency, said that a western disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its adjoining parts. However, this is not more effective. Apart from this, the cyclonic winds over Gujarat and its adjoining North East Arabian Sea are in the grip of heavy losses. Skymate has issued a bulletin saying that the axial line of monsoon continues from Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal.

Heavy rain is expected at several places in southwestern Madhya Pradesh, eastern Gujarat, and northern Maharashtra during the next 24 hours. It is also likely to receive torrential rain in North Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra have suffered heavy losses due to heavy rains.
