New Delhi: Delhiites may have been relieved of the heat at the beginning of the week, but the temperature has started climbing again in Delhi by the end of the week. On Saturday, Delhiites got into the morning with scorching heat. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain the same throughout the day in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon.
Meteorologists have predicted light rain in some parts of the city by evening. After light rain, people will get some relief from heat and humidity. The sluggishness of monsoon has added to the heat and humidity in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow and its adjoining areas. Lucknow recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius on Friday. According to the Met department, there is no possibility of rain in the state before July 22. Right now people will continue to suffer the scorching heat.
In some parts of the state, cloud movement will continue. According to meteorologists, the monsoon turf line was in the Himalayan foothills, registering good rainfall in the central part of the state. The south side of the turf line has led to drought-like conditions in the northern region.
