New Delhi: Due to the icy wind coming through the mountains, most of the areas in many states, including Delhi, are reeling under cold winter and there is no hope of relief for the coming few days. In Delhi, severe cold conditions are also prevailing with fog. The weather department today predicted a minimum temperature of 4 °c, with the maximum temperature being 21 degrees.

Cold and fog have reduced visibility in Delhi and adjoining Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ghaziabad on Thursday morning. After the recent snowfall in the hilly areas, the icy winds coming from there are causing melting cold in the plains. The weather department said that the air quality in the national capital Delhi remains very bad. The icy winds moving south-west are expected to move towards the north-west direction.

The icy winds are expected to further fall in temperature for the next two days. There will be no significant change in the weather for the next three days, the air quality index is expected to improve marginally and its level is estimated to come down from a very bad category.
