New Delhi: According to the Met department, the southwest monsoon is likely to depart from northwest India on Wednesday, October 6. This year monsoon has come up late. According to the Met department, the reason for this delay is the normal monsoon situation. At the same time, two storms have hit the Bay of Bengal, which is also said to be the reason for the delay in the monsoon.

According to Skymet, the monsoon is soon to return from Gujarat and Rajasthan. However, these two states are still receiving continuous rainfall. Met department said that the low-pressure area over Bihar will gradually weaken after moving north-east. On the other hand, an area of cyclonic winds is also forming over the South West Bay of Bengal. It is expected to remain there for the next 2-3 days.

According to the Met department, under the influence of these systems, heavy rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and coastal and south interior Karnataka by Wednesday. Kerala is also expected to receive heavy rain at various places (more than 20 cm) by Wednesday. South Konkan and Goa and south Central Maharashtra may receive different heavy rains till October 8.
