Kolkata: Angry over the death of a bride in West Bengal's East Burdwan, the family members started creating a ruckus in the mortuary of the hospital. The in-laws of the deceased were thrashed severely. The case is from the Kalna area.
It is being said that on Monday, the body of a woman named Sharmila Ruidas was seized from near the Nandai railway line. Enraged, the family members of the deceased also reached the hospital and accused the in-laws of murder. He has said that Sharmila's in-laws often tortured her mentally and physically.
In-laws beaten up in the mortuary: It is reported that the relatives of the deceased were so angry that they took the husband of the deceased inside the car outside the mortuary and started beating him up. It is being said that they also thrashed the in-laws of the deceased with slippers. The family members alleged that the deceased's husband Baneshwar Das always used to come home after drinking alcohol and started beating his wife. There was a commotion in the hospital after the assault. The police present on the spot managed to control the situation with great difficulty.
