Kolkata: Assembly elections are due in 2021 in West Bengal. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is constantly attacking Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The political battle between the BJP and TMC has intensified. Meanwhile, West Bengal BJP unit president Dilip Ghosh has targeted Mamata Banerjee. The BJP state president said that Mamata Didi had problems in speaking Jai Shri Ram.

In this meeting, he also used abusive language for Mamta Banerjee. He said that what is there in Mamta ji's blood that she cannot speak Jai Shri Ram. West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh warned Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers to correct their ways or else their skin would be 'torn off'. The ruling party of the province termed the statement as 'substandard' and said that they should be boycotted by the media and politicians.

Addressing a "Cha Chakra" (discussion on tea) on the south-west side of the city bordering the border of South 24 Parganas district, Ghosh attacked TMC fiercely. Accusing her of trying to convert West Bengal into Bangladesh, he said he shouted slogans like 'Jai Bangla'.
