According to reports, this pandal has been prepared on the theme of post-poll violence in Kankurgachi, Kolkata. The puja is organized by Saraswati Kali Mata Mandir Parishad Club. The club also celebrates Durga Puja along with Saraswati and Kali Puja. The theme has been named 'Maydar Kanna, Raktat Bengal' (Mother's crying and bloody Bengal).

He was very excited about worshipping Maa Durga in 2020. He had made all the arrangements for the worship. We are still saddened by his passing. Durga Puja in Bengal is celebrated to give a social message. Through this puja, we are celebrating the grief of those killed in the election violence.'
