Kolkata, The former West Bengal chief minister and veteran communist leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee deteriorating health had been admitted them to the hospital. However, his health is improving. He is admitted to Woodlands Hospital. A team of eight members of the doctors conducted a medical examination of Bhattacharya in the morning, a hospital team said in the permanent bulletin, which found all parameters to be stable. Bhattacharya has been suffering from the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) for some time.

Buddhadeb, 75, has been admitted to the Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital in Kolkata. According to the hospital official, his blood pressure was significantly reduced. He is having trouble breathing. In the health bulletin released by Woodlands Hospital in the morning it was reported that a team of eight members of doctors conducted medical examination of Bhattacharya in which all the parameters were found to be stable.

He is being given liquid food, tea and papaya. In the bulletin issued, it was said that Bhattacharya's chest X-ray shows that the condition is improving. Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has been the CM of the state from 2000 to 2011. Hearing the news of his deteriorating health, the current CM of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee reached the hospital to meet him. In 2011, Mamta became the CM of Bengal for the first time after defeating him in Bengal.
