Kolkata: West Bengal politics continues to be a war-wise between CM Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhanhar. Governor Jagdeep Dhanhar had sought a report from the State Chief Secretary on the law and order of West Bengal, but there was no response from the state government till late Saturday night. Governor Jagdeep has termed it as an irresponsible stand of the state government.

Governor Jagdeep Dhanhar wrote in a tweet, "Unfortunately, the Chief Secretary and the Chief Minister's Office have not responded after I have given a message- hopefully, the prestigious post you are in and the laws related to it, you will consider your non-responsive attitude and, as you have been told, you will inform the constitutional chief."  Governor Jagdeep Dhanhar had earlier tweeted a report on the state's law and order.

"My instructions were communicated to CM Banerjee's office that CM should inform me about the dire and explosive law and order situation in West Bengal," he wrote. The Chief Secretary has been ordered to reply by 2 pm." There was no response from the Chief Minister's office on the governor's tweet. In West Bengal, the killing of BJP workers has been a political battle for the past few days. The BJP has asked the Governor to take action against the Mamata government in the case.
