Kolkata: While accused of bypassing the Durga Puja celebrations held in Kolkata, West Bengal, the state governor Jagdeep Dhankar has said that it is not his but the insult of the people of Bengal. He has alleged that he was insulted by the Mamata Banerjee government during the Durga Puja on October 11 and was not even allowed to watch Durga Puja properly.
On the news of being ignored in Durga Puja, the state governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said, 'What can I say on such indecent attitude of the state government for the first citizen of the state. I think the government will introspect on this. We are part of a state. I feel very sad. Dhankhar further said, 'The hearts and minds of the people who have done this kind of work are probably not as big as the people of West Bengal. It is not my insult, it is insult to the culture of West Bengal. This is insult to every citizen of the state.
Earlier on Sunday, Jagdeep Dhankhar had said that it is not necessary that a person always agrees with another person's words and both do not become enemies of each other due to not agreeing. Let us tell you that this statement of Dhankar has come out three days after his statement given after the triple murder in Murshidabad. In his statement on the assassination, the governor had said that the incident in Murshidabad reflects the 'worrisome' law and order in the state. His statement did not go down well with the ruling party TMC and hit back at his governor.
