Kolkata: West Bengal's capital Kolkata on Friday night, a drunken man threw a bomb at his son during a fight. The man died after being badly injured in this attack. The son is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The police is closely investigating the matter from where the bomb came from the person.

The incident has come to light from Kashipur Road in North Kolkata, where 65-year-old Sheikh Matlab used to come to his house often while drunk. According to the locals, he came home drunk on Friday as well, due to which his son Sheikh Nazir started fighting. Sheikh Nazir works in a factory. On seeing this, this story turned into a scuffle and it took violent form. According to police sources, during the scuffle, Sheikh Matlab threw a crude bomb on his son Sheikh Nazir. Nazir attempts to stop the bomb with his own hands, but before that the bomb explodes. Both father and son were badly injured after the explosion.

Hearing the sound of the blast, neighbours rushed to the scene, from where the injured father-son was taken to the hospital for treatment. Sheikh Matlab died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. While Sheikh Nazir lost his fingers in the bomb blast. In view of Nazir's critical condition, he was admitted to SSKM Hospital.
