Kolkata: A 15-day lockdown has come into force in West Bengal in the wake of corona virus infection. The roads in the state are looking deserted due to this lockdown. Vehicles carrying only essential commodities are now visible on the roads. Buses and other passenger vehicles were seen off the roads and shops of unnecessary items remained closed. In fact, some people were seen buying fish only outside grocery stores and in the local market.

Let us tell you that three hours of sale of essential commodities has been allowed during lockdown in the State. A senior police officer informed that necessary steps have been taken to create awareness about the lockdown rules and action will be taken against those violating the rules. Let us also tell you that metro services have been suspended in Kolkata, which caused difficulty for many forward front personnel to go to work.

At the same time, 19,511 new cases of corona infection have been reported in West Bengal last Saturday when it comes to corona infection cases. At the same time, 144 more people died of infection last Saturday.
