Kolkata: Political turmoil in the country has increased considerably over the past few days as Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has sworn in as the CM of West Bengal for the third time with a hat-trick. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar administered the oath to him. The swearing-in of the Mamata government remained in a very simple manner due to the Corona crisis. Mamata's minister is likely to take oath tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi tweeted his best wishes to Mamata Didi. PM Modi writes "Best wishes to Mamata Didi on taking oath as CM of West Bengal". The TMC won 213 seats in this assembly election, though Mamata Banerjee herself could not win her seat from Nandigram. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, "My first priority is to control corona infection in the state".
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also said, "I thank the Governor and all the people. Everybody in the country is now looking at Bengal. I urge all political parties to become tolerant. Any violation of law and order in the State will not be tolerated, there should be no problem. I will take over the law and order situation in the state from today itself. Strict action will be taken against those who commit violence".
