Kolkata: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has become very serious about West Bengal. The Sangh's eye is on expanding the organization in this important state of eastern India. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is taking an interest in it. The chief is currently on a three-day Bengal tour. During this visit, he also met prominent people of Bengal, who have been associated with the work of the Sangh for a long time. Meanwhile, Bhagwat chaired an important organizational meeting on Sunday, where he talked about starting preparations for the assembly elections in Bengal.

Along with this, he also directed to strengthen the organization in the border areas of the state. According to sources, in the meeting there was a discussion between the selected RSS leader of Bengal and the top leadership of BJP, how to expand the RSS in Bengal. BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP co-in-charge Arvind Menon, central leader Shiv Prakash, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh and Union minister Devashree Chaudhary were present at the meeting. It is being said that the Sangh wants to strengthen the organization in the border areas to keep an eye on the intruders.

There is also news that before implementing NRC in Bengal, the Sangh wants to make inroads in the entire state. Till now the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has been extremely active in the state as a key ally of the RSS. Especially in districts like Purulia, Bankura and Medinipur, this organization is taking hold. The BJP performed well in the last Lok Sabha election. Which makes the Sangh Parivar feel that they can challenge the Mamata government in the assembly elections.
