Renowned actor Govind Namdev has been associated with Hindi cinema for several decades, having starred in numerous films. Recently, he has been in the spotlight due to his statements regarding Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. Namdev described both superstars as exceptionally talented but distinctly different from each other. He mentioned his experience working with Shahrukh Khan in the film "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani," where he observed Khan's dedicated work ethic. According to Namdev, Shahrukh Khan would work late into the night, discussing scenes with the film crew. Released in 2000, "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani" was not only an acting venture for Khan but also a production responsibility he took seriously.

Reflecting on his observations, Govind Namdev shared that he had heard about workaholics before but witnessed it firsthand while working with Shahrukh Khan. They would work together throughout the day, and even late into the night, Khan would engage with the entire team and share meals. Namdev noted that Khan, who also served as the film's producer, would sometimes work until 2 AM before catching a flight to Chennai for a function and returning promptly to resume shooting.

According to the actor, Shahrukh Khan typically slept for no more than three to four hours a night, displaying a remarkable work discipline. Namdev emphasized that while superstars often carry an air of attitude, Shahrukh Khan was devoid of such airs and was highly approachable on set.

Regarding Salman Khan, Govind Namdev remarked on the stark differences compared to Shahrukh Khan. He mentioned that Salman Khan was less inclined towards extensive conversations, preferring occasional anecdotes about his family and reminiscing about his father.
