New Delhi: What is bird flu and what are the causes of bird flu? Today everyone wants to know the answer to this question. This disease, known as bird flu, is caused by the avian influenza virus H5N1. This virus makes birds and humans more prey. The infection of the virus spreads rapidly to birds such as chicken, turkey, geese, peacock and duck. This influenza virus is so deadly that it kills humans and birds. So far, birds are believed to be the main cause of bird flu. At times it spreads from person to person as well. A person suffering from avian influenza may also die.
Symptoms:-
The symptoms of bird flu are similar to those of normal flu, but the problem of breathing and feeling of vomiting all the time is its special symptoms. Some common symptoms are as follows.
Fever
Cough
Running nose
Headache
Sore throat
Muscle aches
Diarrhoea
Feeling nauseous all the time
Pain in the lower abdomen
Problem in breathing, breathlessness, pneumonia.
Conjunctivitis in the eye
Generally, the disease spreads in humans due to being very close to the chickens or the infected bird. If you come in contact with an infected chicken in any way, it happens to you as well. In humans, the bird flu virus enters through the eyes, nose and mouth.
How to avoid
Stay away from infected birds and especially dead birds.
As long as there is bird flu, do not eat non-veg.
Keep an eye on cleanliness when buying non-veg.
Try not to go to the area of infection, if you go wear a mask.
Bird flu treatment
Bird flu is treated with the antiviral drugs oseltamivir (Tamiflu) (oseltamivir (Tamiflu)) and zanamivir Relenza. To reduce this virus one should relax completely. Nutritious food should be taken in which there is maximum liquid. The patient should be kept in isolation so that the bird flu does not spread to others.
