Kolkata: In the Malda district of West Bengal, children were playing with the bomb as a ball, during which a huge explosion took place. Two children were seriously injured in this blast. The children have been admitted to the hospital in injured condition. There is tension in the area due to this incident. After getting the information, police reached the spot and cordoned off the entire area. An investigation has been started in this regard. Police are questioning the local people and searching for the culprits. However, no one has been arrested so far.

As per reports, the incident took place in Balutola village under Gopalpur in Manikchak, Malda. The names of the injured children are Ameerul Islam and Abdul Momin. Both are cousins. They were playing near the brick kiln. At the same time, a bomb was kept there and they started playing with it thinking it as a ball, and during this time this explosion took place. Let us inform you that, earlier in the month of February also a major accident took place in Manikchak. Even at that time, some children were playing and the children picked up the bomb mistaking it for a ball.

During that time too, five children were seriously injured in the blast. The age of those children was between 8 and 10 years. There was a lot of uproar after this incident. The National Commission for Children had called for a report from the State DG and a delegation had also inspected the area. Recently, a similar incident took place in Bhatpara of North 24 Parganas a few days back. Two children had lost their lives in that. In such a situation, the question arises, how these bombs are lying everywhere in Bengal, which put the lives of children in danger?
