Mumbai: The Hindu Mahasangh is preparing to move court against the Muslim survey being conducted by the Maharashtra government. The Hindu Mahasangh has questioned that if the horse is not drinking water, then what is the fault of water in it? Meaning if Muslims are lagging behind, what is the fault of the majority? Anand Dave, president of the Hindu Mahasangh, who is in Pune, said that everyone has an equal opportunity to move forward, yet if someone sees religion as more important than going on the path of progress, then he himself is responsible for the results.

In an interview, Anand Dave, on behalf of the Hindu Mahasangh, said that the objection is that what is the need for the Maharashtra government to spend crores of rupees of people for this. Under this decision, a survey of the social, economic and educational conditions of the Muslim society will be conducted. The Maharashtra government awarded a Rs 34 crore contract to the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) to conduct the survey. Under this, a survey will be conducted in 56 such cities where the number of Muslims is high. They will try to find out why the Muslims of the state are backward, and what efforts should be made to bring them forward and include them in the mainstream of society.

A fresh order has now been issued to submit a fresh report based on the report of the Mahmood-ur-Rehman-headed committee appointed by the Maharashtra government in 2013. On this, Hindu Mahasangh president Anand Dave has said that he will go to court against this decision of the government. At the same time, Anand Dave questioned whether this one society is backward. And is the majority responsible for it? The government has awarded a contract of about Rs 34 crore to a private company to research the socio-economic and educational development of Muslim society. The government has also sought suggestions to bring Muslims into the mainstream. This means that even after 75 years, this society could not come into the mainstream. At the same time, Anand Dave says that development did not reach them and they did not reach development.
